After the great comeback with Revelation (after the great deception with Generations), we get this new one from Journey which i was eagerly hoping for... and... really got deceived... so what i haver heard, i am thinking in NOT buying it... :-(
I heard a lot of great reviews...
Well this is not what I expect from a record teaming Schon-Cain. They are about to make greater things. Songs with punch, heartbreaking... well... they made escape, frontiers, raised on radio, arrival, trial by fire, beyond the thunder and even revelation... so that is what I am expecting from them... maybe is it too much asking?

This is gonna hurt

After several listenings I have no doubt, this will be (with Journey does not eclipse it) the record of the year. Yes, it feels, it sounds to me a Heroin II, so this is really great news. The sticky melody (& lyrics) from the title, the single lies of the beautiful people (kind of reminding the last single Life is beautiful)... the power of Live forever, the Sure feels right mid tempo, and, above all this heartbreaking Skin touching the soul deep inside... The more i listen to the songs the more I like them and i appreciate even more... A true winner

Appetite for outtakes

When i was introduced in this world, a reference was GNR, and though i was tryin to find their material so hard, it was nearly impossible to find (apart from the official). So when i found this triple CD for no more 6€ per CD i decided to have it as a souvenir.

I can hear some decent versions from the Lies record, and a lot of curious outtakes, which i could say it is worth for any GNR fan. I am glad i took it. It is a rarity.

Both version from november rain, the accoustic & the piano one are so different, and quite nice, so i find this release very interesting...

Flight East

Of couse this is not an official album, since it was never released... though i got this demo from internet finally... and... I was puzzled, astonished...

First of all because this is not the kind of music i was expecting.

DH as LZ were trying to be creative and new...

And i found in these 'tapes' that it is true ... but it is most 'danceable' than any other thing. It is kind of strange that Brian, inventor of Am I evil? riff is playing here...

But, who cares?

Though it is not the best record of Leppard, it brings me memories, since it is the tour I attend so long ago...17 years ago. It is a catchy record, the last with Clark's magic, not counting Bsides great record Retroactive...

I always had an expensive reason not to buy this record, but with a deluxe version i do not mind paying just a little more, since for the songs, it is well worth the money.

Favourites? White lightning, Have you ever (the song which convinced my girlfriend) , Stand up, Tear it down... there's not a bad song in the whole record.

And a double with B sides is highly appreciated though i think i own most/all of them

I would say go for it, because i got it for a nice price, less than 10€

Innocence is no Excuse

This is a record I was longing for so long... so much time, but it was too expensive and I didn't want to waste money that way. So I waited, and the new re-edition was only 10 € with seven bonus songs and extra photos, so the wait was well worth.

It is a softer SAXON, but still stays true. Or at least to my taste. Of course I love Crusader, 747, Dallas 1PM... but this leppardized? record is so melodic that i can help loving it.

Rockin' again and Broken Heroes personal favorites.
